The brief

I’ve worked with Nolaa’s for over six years, starting with the logo and brand identity when the business sold granola at local farmers markets. As demand grew, I developed the packaging, then refined it for retail as the granola moved into grocery chains across the country. When the brand expanded again with its first bakery and restaurant location, I designed and built a Shopify website to support it, and I continue to provide ongoing support with design updates and back-end changes such as shipping options and pricing. The logo has evolved alongside the business, refined at each stage to stay recognizable while maturing from a farmers market brand into one that holds its own on grocery shelves and as a bakery storefront.

The challenge

The challenge was building a brand that could grow with the business at every stage. The identity and packaging had to work at a farmers market table, then hold up on a national grocery shelf, then carry over to a physical bakery and an online store. The website needed to be flexible enough for the owner to show changing menus, while giving customers an easy way to order baked goods for pickup or have them shipped to their door. Seeing a small business grow from market stalls to a successful bakery and restaurant has been one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
