The brief

InvisaBeam is a start-up making LED recessed lighting, and I worked with them from the very beginning. The first job was the brand itself: a logo, wordmarks and the visual identity the company would launch with. That foundation led straight into packaging for the product line, then into everything the team needed to sell it: trade show booths and displays, magazine ads and sales sheets. I continue to support InvisaBeam with email campaigns, promoting upcoming trade shows and running regular marketing and sales emails to dealers and contractors.

The challenge

As a start-up, InvisaBeam needed to look established from day one, competing for attention against larger lighting brands on shelves, in trade publications and on crowded show floors. The identity had to work at every scale, from a wordmark on a small package to a full trade show booth, and stay consistent as the materials grew. Because recessed lighting is designed to disappear into a ceiling, the brand also had to make a nearly invisible product feel modern and worth noticing.
